Designed by Claire Hepworth, this quilt won fourth prize in the Jelly Roll Dream Challenge competition and was featured in the book Jelly Roll Dreams by Pat & Nicky Lintott. This downloadable eight-page full-colour PDF pattern has all the instructions, piecing diagrams and templates to create the delicious Lovin’ That Muffin quilt, a pictorial design made using foundation piecing techniques.

Fabric requirements: One jelly roll or forty 2½in wide strips cut across the width of the fabric; 2yd (1.75m) of fabric for muffin background (a mixture of yellows and whites was used); ¼yd (0.25m) of fabric for sashing (to coordinate with jelly roll); scraps of red fabric for appliquéd cherries; fusible web for appliqué; green embroidery thread for cherry stalks; twenty 11in (28cm) squares of foundation material, such as Vilene Stitch ‘n’ Tear; ½yd (0.5m) of fabric for binding.
